Rob has successfully held the roles of Interim CFO at a large private aviation company and Assistant Corporate Controller/Finance Manager at a large privately-held international manufacturing company. In these roles, Rob managed the integration of several acquisitions, led the reorganization of corporate accounting, transition of corporate accounting from Richmond, Virginia, to Charlotte, North Carolina, and established consistent methodologies for modeling product cost and margin analytics.
As an Interim CFO for a $200M private aviation company, Rob was responsible for all aspects of financial management, including Corporate Accounting, Cash Management, and Financial Reporting. During his tenure, he managed the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics Navision, led a company-wide cost reduction strategy, and restructured the finance function. These actions resulted in a 20% increase in efficiency and a 25% decrease in corporate overhead.
Rob led the reorganization of Corporate Accounting for an $800M international manufacturing firm. Key tasks included evaluation of the accounting staff, leading a current state discovery session, providing future state recommendations, executing a transition of the function to another state and managing a staff of 4 direct reports to complete the reorganization on schedule. The reorganization resulted in an overall reduction in accounting staff, the establishment of a company-wide accounting policy, a 3-day reduction in the month-end close process, and the utmost accuracy in financial reporting.
Prior to these roles, Rob has successfuly assisted several public companies in the Richmond area with a broad range of accounting and finance projects, including: quarterly and annual SEC reporting, acquisition integration, financial modeling, and all aspects of Sarbanes-Oxley Sec. 404 compliance.
