Prior to joining the Fahrenheit team, Jay founded a staffing and consulting firm, Bloom Staffing, which was created to provide top-tier sales candidates to clients across the Virginia and DC markets. Before that, Jay was the Vice President of Organizational Development for Advancement Concepts, a financial services firm started in 2009 to be a resource for philanthropic giving and distribution throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Jay has been nationally recognized for his role in recruiting and growing the firm, while participating in consulting and speaking engagements across the country including colleges, universities, association meetings, and industry conferences. Prior to his leadership role with the company, Jay worked with business owners, development officers, and entrepreneurs to ensure their goals through financial strategies and risk management. During his time with Advancement Concepts, he completed the Rotary International GSE trip to South Korea in 2012 and the Richmond Chamber of Commerce MENTOR Richmond Program in 2013-2014.
Earlier in his career, he was part of the Enterprise Rent-a-Car Management Trainee program in Richmond, and he also worked with the Sales Team at McKesson Medical-Surgical to harvest and grow distribution of medical products to vendors throughout the state. Between earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from James Madison University and an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University, Jay gained international work experience in Sydney, Australia.

Jay serves on the board for The Massey Alliance, Richmond WHIMBY, The YRichmond program through the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, The Ram to Ram Mentor Program at the VCU School of Business, and was recognized by Work It Richmond: People You Need to Meet June 2013.
